Mystery couple solved!
Bill Izzarelli and Jackie Levensailor tied
the knot at the Village in the spring of 1973!

How it happened in Bill's words:
We contacted their general office and inquired about having a
wedding at the park and we
were politely told no, they don't use the park for weddings
About a week or so later there was a personal ad in the Mercury News
asking for the couple who contacted FV about a
wedding to call back, I
can't recall the gentleman's name but can still remember recall his
face. Older guy in his late 30s to early 40s (remember I was only
22) with dark wavy hair. They made us an unbelievable offer and as
it was explained to us, it was all about PR. They paid for the
complete wedding and
honeymoon, all but the price of gas to drive to Southern
California. It covered my bride's dress, the men's tuxes,
bridesmaids' dresses, the photographer and pictures, the
wedding cake, our
invitations, our guests were let in for free, everything. They paid
for the honeymoon which included our stay on the Queen Mary in Long
Beach, also got us into Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm as VIPs.
We had over 75 guests who attended and yes it was announced the
paper. As for pictures, Jackie, now my ex-wife has or had all the
pictures that were taken, I'm having my Dad dig into his old
pictures to see what he can come up with.
The wedding was
on a Saturday and yes, we did ride some of the rides, the Ferris
wheel, carousel, the old cars and the stage coach are the ones
that come to mind, especially the stage coach. . . . .you really
notice the dust dressed in a
wedding gown and tux. We walked most of the park dressed
up and it was a sight to see.
